Six Mile Canyon is located 5 miles east of Virgina City on Route 79 known as Six Mile Canyon Road.
The area is reputedly haunted by one A.J. "Jack" Davis, a stagecoach and train robber - and a killer too.
He apparently buried much of his ill-gotten gains in Six Mile Canyon, and much still remains unfound (if you find it, please remember us - we did tell you about it!)
Davis ended up on the receiving end of an Agent's buckshot on 3rd September 1877, and died a day later from his injuries. He was buried in Eureka.
As for his ghost, it is said that it guards his treasure as a "giant, ashen-faced spectre".
